The Alliance

Lansing Latino Health Alliance

For a community to be whole and healthy it must be based on people’s love and concern for each other.
-Millard Fuller

Without a sense of caring there can be no sense of community.
-Anthony J De’Angel

The Lansing Latino Health Alliance is an organization founded in 2003 to reduce health disparities and inequities and to improve the health status of Latinos residing in the greater Lansing area.  The Alliance defines health as more than the absence of disease.  We believe health encompasses environments and contexts that lead to and promote healthy growth and development and that health cannot be separated from its social and cultural influences.

Board members include representatives from various organizations and citizens in the greater Lansing area.
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month in room 104 at Lansing Community Colleges Health and Human Services Building from 5:30 until 7:30.

Anyone interested in our work is encouraged to join us.
